CASA Superhero Run

17 04 2012

Superheros in Richmond? Richmonders as Superheros?

Maybe a little bit of both.

CASA of Henrico, Chesterfield, and Colonial Heights are teaming up and bringing you another reason this year to dress up as a superhero in public!

From their Website:

“Become part of the movement of individuals, corporations and organizations that are proud to lead the fight against child abuse. Enjoy entertainment, refreshments and fun for the whole family. St. Joseph’s Villa offers a flat and fast 5K course, which accommodates all levels of expertise. Children twelve and under can participate in the kids’ race. Form a team, come out with your family or run/walk alone. Costumes are optional, but they make it more fun!”

Entertainment, besides the obvious legions of Superheros, will include a moon bounce, obstacle course, carnival games, and face painting!

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a non-profit organization that trains individuals to guide/represent victims of child neglect and/or abuse through the legal system towards a better life.

This race will be at St. Joseph’s Villa, 8000 Brook Road (corner of Brook Road and Parham Road). Event organizers ask that you use the Brook Road entrance.

Join us out there, and be a superhero!
